I'm Lera Bersenova

I was born in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, a region that has been occupied by russia since the full-scale invasion in 2022. Growing up in a post-Soviet country, experiencing immigration, and witnessing the devastation of war have deeply shaped my worldview and influenced my artistic tastes. I studied the Science of Arts at Odessa Art School and currently work full-time as a Production Artist. My artwork reflects my deepest thoughts and emotions- each piece is a form of self-expression, offering a glimpse into my soul and the way I truly feel. Painting has become an integral part of my daily life, helping me cope with personal struggles such as the loss of my mother, my father’s service in the military, and the challenges of mental health. However, my art isn’t only about hardship- I also love drawing my dogs, my hedgehog, and my husband, capturing the joy and beauty of everyday life.

I currently live in Calgary, Canada, where I continue to share my ideas and work as a proud member of the Calgary Community of Painters Society (CCPS).

I am available for commissions, including posters, digital art, and original oil paintings. Please feel free to contact me for any inquiries.
