I'm Lera Bersenova

I was born in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. My personal experiences of immigration and loss shaped both my worldview and my art. With a background in the Fine Arts and my work as a Production Artist, painting became the way I process life: grief, resilience, memory, and the small joys that keep me grounded. I paint my inner world, from trauma and healing to my dogs, my hedgehog, and my husband. What drives my work is the hope that someone sees a piece and feels understood, comforted, or less alone. I want my art to echo the emotional landscapes we all move through.

I wish to encourage artists to create from their heart without the thought of success. Today we get influenced by social media trends and pressured to succeed while art is a form of self exploration that cannot be measured with success.

Currently I live in Calgary, Canada, where I continue to share my ideas and work as a proud member of the Calgary Community of Painters Society (CCPS).

I am available for commissions, including posters, digital art, and original oil paintings. Please feel free to contact me for any inquiries.
